Floating Stones

I was looking at this deviation, moonshinerose.deviantart.com/a... and thought that it looked like some kind of path. Then my mind went wandering down a path of its own, and came to the idea of a floating path, to a house, maybe? In this universe it would be a commonplace security feature of houses, which are floating up high, that you have to step on the right stepping stone, which is in a grid. If you step on the wrong one, the alarm goes off and all the stone shut off, and you fall. No pressure. But occupant of the house would have a digital map of the correct sequence, which scrambles itself constantly. Yup.
